FAQ
I completed my studies from Canada and worked here for 1 year. How do I apply for PR now?
If you have completed your studies from Canada and also have work experience in Canada, you will be best suited through the Canadian Experience Class mode.
You will need to create a profile under the Express Entry system.
You will also need to take the IELTS once again under the “General Training” module and score the cut off.
My Score is low under the CRS Express Entry Scoring System. How can I improve my score for PR?
If you are from outside Canada, you need to look at the areas where you are getting less score. While you cannot change factors like your age, you can enhance you score through other measures:
You can add the details of your spouse or common-law-partner. Sometimes, combined profile yields better scoring especially if they have a higher degree that you or are less in age.
You can improve your education in your home country – get a Post Grad Degree or Diploma.
Enhance your language scores or learn the second language (French) and improve your score.
You can also seek job in Canada as you get 400 points if you have a valid job offer from Canada.
If your scores are low under the FSWP or FSTP, you may be still be eligible and suitable through the Provincial Nominee Programs. You can check here to know more.

- International Credential Assessment Service of Canada
- World Education Services
- International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS)

I have my study visa rejected 2/3 times. Should I apply again or change my course?
You need to understand first the reasons why your visa got rejected. Go through your application again and look at the fine details.
Some common reasons of visa rejection are:
- lack of adequate funds in your account
- Lack of proper study plan or admission status
- Lack of a clear intent of study (SoP)
- If you have applied to other countries on study basis or PR, you should clearly declare this in your application.
You or your consultant should not conceal any material information in your application because if discovered by the immigration bodies, this will lead to rejection and it may also lead you to be banned from applying again.
My Tourist Visa got rejected. How can I apply again? And what are my chances?
The most common causes of visa rejection for visitors are:
- Your profile was unable to convince that you will come back to your home country after your travel.
- There was not enough proof that you will be able to fund your travels.
Unless you concealed any material information which is considered to be a red flag, you can apply again with a suitable reason for visit and provide clear details by writing a letter of intent.
In this letter you should clearly mention all the times you have applied before. You should also clarify what your current plans are and explain your ties to your home detailing the compelling reasons for which you will have to come back.
Can I move to a different province after getting in through PNP?
PNPs select candidates as an extra vote of confidence towards the candidate – so that the person will come and participate in the economic prosperity of the province.
This is why provinces will have a mandatory stay criteria up to 3 years.
Most provinces will also expect you to express your interest in living there and making a meaningful contribution while you do.
Your application should not demonstrate that you are just applying to the province as an entry point. And if your actions state otherwise, it shall also fall under misrepresentation.
You can check our detailed guides on each of the provinces and their programs here.
